I love Humboldt County. I grew up here and my partner, Laura, and I raised our two daughters here. I graduated from Cal Poly Humboldt with a Masters Degree in Environmental Systems Engineering, ran a successful consulting business and served eleven years on the Harbor Commission. With unparalleled natural beauty and community spirit, Humboldt County is a great place to live, work and raise a family.

For the last seven years, as your county supervisor, I’ve worked with the community to build affordable housing, grow renewable energy, increase public transportation and trails, and expand emergency and long-term mental health services. All while advancing climate resiliency and sustainable land uses that protect our watersheds, coastline, farmlands and public access.

As new projects and challenges emerge, I remain energized and committed to working collaboratively with community and business leaders, unions and Tribes to ensure protection of our vital and productive ecosystems while creating more well-paying jobs, job training opportunities, improved access to health care and increased public safety.

With your vote on March 5th, I’ll continue to bring a balanced approach to issues, listen to all points of view, and work with everyone to develop positive, equitable solutions to move Humboldt County forward.
